Data Deletion
This page explains how to delete the data 1000ants holds about you or your workspace, what is deleted and how long it takes. It complements your rights under the Privacy Policy, in particular the right to erasure under Article 17 GDPR.
Three ways to delete
1. Disconnect a single platform
Inside 1000ants, an admin of the workspace opens the Connections page and chooses Disconnect on any connected platform (Google Ads, Search Console, Meta Ads, Instagram, Facebook Pages, LinkedIn, TikTok Ads, Zoho CRM, WordPress). Then:
- We stop accessing that account at once and delete the credentials we hold for it. For Google (Google Ads, Search Console) and Meta (Meta Ads, Instagram, Facebook Pages) we also withdraw our access at the platform, unless another of your connections still uses it; for the other platforms you can remove our access there with the links below.
- The data from that account — campaigns, metrics, posts, comments and their history — is deleted within 30 days for Meta Ads, Instagram and Facebook Pages; within 10 days for LinkedIn (LinkedIn members' comments at once); at once for TikTok Ads. If you reconnect the same account before then, the data is kept.
- Data from Google Ads, Search Console, Zoho CRM and WordPress is not deleted by a disconnect: it stays with your workspace, so its history is there when you reconnect, until you delete the workspace or your account (option 3).
- Content you created in your workspace — such as settings, uploaded documents, results and drafts — and the name of the account you had connected stay in your workspace until you delete the workspace or your account (options 2 and 3), unless a platform's terms require us to delete it earlier.
You may also remove our access directly at the platform: Google (myaccount.google.com/permissions), Meta (Facebook Business Tools settings), LinkedIn (linkedin.com/psettings/permitted-services), Zoho (accounts.zoho.com → connected apps), TikTok (Business Center → Apps), WordPress (your site → Users → Profile → Application Passwords → Revoke). Search Console uses the same Google link. The same deletion periods then apply from when we detect that our access was removed.
2. Archive or delete a single brand workspace
In an agency account you can archive a brand workspace (e.g. one client). Archiving hides it but keeps all its data, so you can bring it back. To delete one brand workspace and its data without deleting your whole account, the account holder opens Settings → Plan & usage and chooses the delete icon next to that brand. Its platform connections are disconnected at once, and the deletion periods from option 1 start for their data. The rest can be restored there for 30 days (connections then have to be connected again); after that it is deleted as described under "What gets deleted" below. Your agency's own brand cannot be deleted on its own; it goes with your account (option 3).
3. Delete your account entirely
In 1000ants open Settings, choose Delete account at the bottom of the page and type DELETE to confirm. All platform connections are disconnected at once, and the deletion periods from option 1 start for their data. The rest of your account, including platform data no deletion period applies to, can be restored for 30 days (connections then have to be connected again) by signing in again or by asking us at contact@1000ants.ai; after that it is deleted. Alternatively, email contact@1000ants.ai from the email address of your account with the subject line "Delete my account"; we verify the request and delete the account for you. We answer requests sent by email within one month (Art. 12(3) GDPR).
What gets deleted
When your account is deleted, we delete:
- Your user profile (name, email, login data).
- The content of every workspace you own, such as settings, uploaded documents, chat history, results and drafts.
- All platform connections and their credentials.
- All data from your connected platforms and its history (e.g. Google Ads, Search Console, Meta, Instagram, Facebook Page, LinkedIn, TikTok, Zoho and WordPress data, including comments on your posts).
What we may keep, anonymised. Aggregated information without any reference to you, your company or any person; for data from a connected platform, as far as that platform's terms allow.
What we keep longer
- Server logs containing IP addresses are kept for 14 days, then deleted.
- Legally required records (e.g. invoices, if you have been billed) are kept for the statutory period and used only for that purpose.
Data on the platforms themselves
Deleting your 1000ants account does not delete data on the platforms you connected (Google Ads campaigns remain in Google Ads; Meta ads remain in Meta; CRM records remain in Zoho). To remove data there, do so on the platform directly. Our deletion removes only the copy held by 1000ants.
This also applies to content published on your behalf after your approval (e.g. a LinkedIn post, a reply to a comment or a Meta ad): it stays live on the platform unless you remove it there. Our records of it are deleted.
If you commented on a post of one of our customers
If you commented on an Instagram or Facebook post of a business that uses 1000ants, your comment (with your username or name and platform ID) is held for that business, which is responsible for it. It is deleted when you delete it on Instagram or Facebook (at our next sync), when the business disconnects its account (within 30 days) or when it deletes its 1000ants account. To have it deleted earlier, ask the business, or email contact@1000ants.ai naming the account you commented on; we forward your request to the business and support it in carrying it out. Details are in section 9b of our Privacy Policy.
Meta data deletion
This page is our data deletion instruction for apps that connect to Meta (Facebook / Instagram / Meta Ads). If you remove 1000ants in your Facebook settings (Settings → Business Integrations), Meta informs us automatically. We then disconnect every Meta, Instagram and Facebook Page connection made with your Meta account and delete the data received through them (campaigns, ad sets, ads, metrics, posts, comments) at once; reconnecting does not undo this. You receive a confirmation code and a status link where you can check progress. You can also request deletion by email to contact@1000ants.ai with the subject line "Meta data deletion"; we handle it in the same way.
